The TerraBlocks™ visualization engine is designed for mission-critical, embedded, 3D terrain-rendering applications to support aircraft primary flight displays for commercial aviation and Department of Defense flight-related requirements. This innovative technology uses wavelet-encoded source terrain elevation datasets coupled with a run-time, terrain-block extraction and rendering process to achieve higher levels of data storage efficiency, rendering accuracy and rendering display rates.
Now accuracy at multiple levels of detail no longer has to be sacrificed to achieve demanding terrain-rendering rates. TerraBlocks™ technology provides the terrain-rendering foundation that supports the transition from situational
awareness display to the precision of a navigational instrument.
